INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

image00003.jpeg

The Longboard Camp for Intermediate riders is for those who want more: more skating, more progress, more style and flow. We will be going in-depth BUT without forgetting that it's all about having FUN!

To join this week, it is necessary to have an entry level of confident cruising and preferably (but not mandatory) some minimal basics of dancing and/or freestyle such as cross step, 180 step, peter pan.

“It was my second time at the camp, this time I returned for the Intermediate level and I could not have imagined a more incredible experience. The Intermediate camp challenged me and reminded me how much fun you can have channelling your own style on the board. I would no hesitate to recommend the camp.“

Location

Santa Cruz (google: Praia de Santa Cruz) is a small town overlooking the miles-long coast of the Atlantic. Located 50 km to the north of Lisbon, this enchanting corner still remains hidden from mass tourism. What does this mean? A coffee under 1€. Enough place for your beach towel. Surfing without a crowd of 100 people. A chance to meet locals in a natural habitat and listen to the melody of the Portuguese language.

And, of course, THESE views.

Accommodation

We will stay at a family-owned Surfcamp 360, which is far more than just a lovely house. It is a place where genuine hospitality and human warmth find their way through every detail.

The house with charming views of the valley boasts a fruit garden, an on-site bar and an open terrace for chillaxing gatherings. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen, where you can prepare your own meals.

We are totally in love with this place because here you get an authentic, living a la Portuguese feeling without compromising on conveniences, like a hot shower and free Wi-Fi.

LONGBOARDING

Longboard dancing & freestyle is our main focus with 9 guided lessons, and 3 hours open session. Basically, you can skate as much as your feet can carry you!

Yoga

We are happy to offer you daily yoga classes during every camp in Santa Cruz. It is a valuable complementary activity that will not only help to boost your performance on a board but also bring a pleasant relaxation and stretching following your skate sessions.

Our yoga instructors will be building their practice around the needs of skaters and surfers: preparation, balance, mobility, flexibility, breathing etc. The purpose of daily yoga during the week is to support you in the main camp´s activities, so these will be general, open to every level sessions. In other words, if you are searching for a specific style of practice/level, this is not an adequate place for it.

Video analysis
and tech Q&A

Over the course of the week, we will hold two sessions of in-depth video analysis with our instructors. During these sessions, they will help each participant identify their mistakes and provide personalized guidance on how to improve.

Additionally, the instructors will be available to answer any technical questions you may have.

Homemade food

Our wonderful host Andreia will treat us with home- and lovemade breakfasts and dinners. It will be healthy and delicious meals with a Portuguese touch; every day different but always vegetarian, abundant, with high-quality and always local when possible ingredients as well as seasonality in mind.

We take into consideration most food allergies and restrictions, just send us a message!

FAQ

How to get to Praia de Santa Cruz?

There are several options to get to Praia de Santa Cruz, including a group transfer, public transport, and uber/taxi. Most guests choose to take a group transfer as it’s the best price/convenience option. Once every guest bought their flights, we group them by the hour of arrival/departure so they can share the costs of the transfer from/to the airport.
